This is a lower temp Auxiliary Water pump switch that will turn your Auxiliary Water pump on (the one under your intake manifold) at about 93°C or 198°F. This will cool your turbos off better than the OEM green switch that comes on at 112°C or 234°F. Most of us never get our cars that hot, so the auxiliary waterpump never gets used. This is a great mod to increase the life of your turbos and uses an OEM part from an older model VAG product.
This sensor is located on the drivers side rear coolant pipe below the coolant reservoir. It is a direct drop in replacement for the factory green switch.
